“I’ll believe otherwise, as long as Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi’s body is not found,” Mattis said.
American defense Secretary, Jim Mattis told reporters on Friday that he believed the leader of the Islamic State, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, was still alive until his body is not found and his death is not confirmed by our country’s officils.
Mr. Mattis said he assumed that Mr. Baghdadi still “had a role to play” in the organization, but provided no details on what that role was.
Recently, a number of media outlets have reported that the leader of the ISIL group, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, was killed.
