The Leader of Hezb-e Islami Gulbuddin Hekmatyar supported the government’s measure distributing electronic ID cards amid all differences over the distribution of the cards among the leaders of National Unity Government (NUG).
Addressing among his fans in central Parwan province, Mr Hekmatyar said taking the card is one of the important and national issue, and he backs up the distribution of the cards.

Hekmatyar raised the issue while Abdullah Abdullah on Thursday opposed with the distribution of the cards, saying the decision is not legitimate and launching the distribution is a failed process.

Mr Hekmatyar asks the leaders of NUG to resolve the problems within the establishment.
He warned the leaders of the government not to try the patience of the people and fulfill their duties well.
“Hezb-e Islami wants the election should be held fair and transparent, and the foreign forces should not interfere in the election,” Hekmatyar underlined. “Some circles within the system and a number of embassies in Kabul want to repeat the fate of the last election in the country.”

However, according to experts, Hekmatyar’s harsh backing of measures the government carries out in the presidential palace, is in fact, false hostility against its long-standing rival Jamiat Islami party.
