209 Shaheen corps emphasized that Taliban suffered heavy casualties in the operation.

“Bilchiragh district captured by security forces; terrorists suffered heavy casualties as Afghanistan National Army stormed to retake Bilchiragh district,” said the statement.

According to the statement, several key commanders of Taliban were killed in the operation and their names will be released soon.
“The Security Forces could retake the control of the district about 4:30 am (local time) on Thursday,” the statement added.

It is said that 22 Taliban insurgents, including 3 commanders were killed and 7 others wounded in the operation.
