According to local officials, heavy rains in northern Badakhshan province over the past four days have led to flooding in 12 districts of this province.

“hundreds of acres of agricultural lands and irrigation canals were destroyed as a result of floods,” said Sayed Abdullah Hamayun, the head of natural disaster department, stressing that damages still unclear.
“Ten people lost their lives, including women and children as a result of floods which destroyed residential houses,” he added.

The provincial natural disaster department announced that it has helped affected people with rice, oil, flour, and other necessary stuff.
