“Ceasefire pointed out that peace is possible and global consensus has been formed to provide peace as well,” president Ashraf Ghani said.
“Peace is a necessary matter and Afghan peace has various dimensions, but its internal dimension has no solution other than inter-Afghan negotiations,” said president Ghani, speaking at a joint conference of clerics and High Peace Council held in ARG on Tuesday afternoon.

“After inter-Afghan talks began, the ground for dialogue in foreign dimensions have been facilitated as well,” Ghani stressed. “not only national consensus but also regional and global consensus have been formed on Afghan peace”.
“The HPC is ready to answer all concerns regarding peace. The HPC will welcome suggestions from any position,” Mr Ghani underlined.

According to him, a ceasefire between the government and Taliban indicated that the Afghan nation firmly demands peace.
The head of HPC Karim Khalili also said that the ceasefire pointed out that the people of Afghanistan want peace and the war is imposed on them.
