The Election Commission has finally announced the final list of candidates for the parliamentary elections. The primary list of candidates also includes 404 women.
The initial list of candidates for parliamentary election of the 33 provinces was released by the election commission on Monday. The initial list includes 2161 candidates, while the names of 141 applicants from 26 provinces have been removed from the list for various reasons, including lack of documents.

The election commission released the list after delaying it for one week due to abundant work, which sparked criticism of the observatory institutions.

According to the electoral law, the removed candidates have two weeks to protest or complain to the electoral complaints commission.
The final list of the parliamentary election and district councils will be released one month later and the candidates can carry out their election campaign from 28 September to 17 October.
The parliamentary election and district councils will be held on 20 October 2018.
