An explosion hit an election rally in northeastern Takhar province, killing at least 13 people and wounding 32 others, according to reports.
A police spokesman said the explosives were placed in a motorcycle near the rally of the candidate for the upcoming parliamentary elections.
The explosion happened at around 2:00 pm (local time).
The explosion comes several days after a similar attack on an election meeting in Helmand province killed at least eight people, including an election candidate.

The candidate was not arrived at the rally yet when the explosion occurred.
No group claimed responsibility yet.
