Following consultative meetings regarding peace, president Ghani met former president Hamid Karzai on Sunday night.
During the meeting, president Ashraf Ghani discussed the formation of advisory peace board.
“as peace is a national process, we need a national consensus to reach it and the consultation process with various segments of the people will be continued,” he said.

Earlier, president Ghani met the leaders of Jamiat party, Hezb-e Islami led by Hekmatyar, Abdul Rab Rassoul Sayyaf, Mohammad Mohaqiq, and Mohammad Akbari as well as the members of civil society.
The leaders of Jamiat party has already opposed with the formation of advisory peace board parallel to the high peace council.
