An Afghan national army helicopter has reportedly crashed in western Kandahar province, local officials confirmed.
According to local officials, the helicopter was crashed near Kandahar airfield on Sunday night.

Aziz Ahmad Azizi, a spokesman for the Kandahar governor said, 5 army officials were injured during the incident.
The collapse of army helicopters has turned into a major problem for the country’s air forces.

This is the third army helicopter that crashes in less than three months.
According to experts, overuse and poor maintenance cause such incidents.
