The executive directorate of the NUG reacted against the dismissal of Mohammad Mohaqeq’s dismissal in a statement, saying that “creating instability is not in favor of any side”.

ARG’s measure is against the political agreement led to the formation of a national unity government (NUG) and this issue will be discussed after Abdullah’s trip to Switzerland for world economic forum, the statement said.
“The NUG was founded at a particular historical level based on an agreement between the two leading electoral teams with the aim to the formation of a legitimate government, maintaining stability and adhere to political consensus, reforms, cooperation and joint decision-making,” the statement read.

According to the statement, dismissing Mohammad Mohaqeq is against the formation of NUG.
“The news about the dismissal of professor Mohammad Mohaqeq, the second deputy to the executive directorate is against the political agreement of the NUG and a joint decision will be made about the issue after the NUG’s leaders trip (to Switzerland),” the statement added.

On Thursday morning, Mohammad Haroun Chakhansoori, a spokesman to president Ghani, said in a statement that President Ghani has signed the dismissal of Mohammad Mohaqeq, second deputy to the Chief Executive of the Afghanistan NUG.
