President M. Ashraf Ghani met with ambassadors of the EU countries on Sunday night in Kabul and stressed on the government’s commitment to transparency in elections.

During the meeting held at the presidential palace, they discussed election process, reforms made with the elections commissions, forthcoming Kabul process on the axis of Afghanistan, peace process and peace consultative Loya Jirga with the participation of the representatives of all walks of society from across the country.
“The participation of EU states in the implementation of post-peace programs for Afghanistan is valuable,” Mr Ghani added.

Ambassadors of the EU states assured that their countries are ready to cooperate with Afghanistan in the election process and the peace process, saying that serious focus will be paid on Afghanistan after a peace agreement.
