“In the past 48 hours, 99 Taliban were killed and 35 were wounded,” the statement said.

This comes as Taliban launched raids on Bala Murghab district of Badghis province during the past two days.

The statement also added that 12 Afghan security forces were killed in the fight against Taliban and 34 others sustained injuries.
Taliban have intensified their attacks amid ongoing peace talks.
