Afghan NSA Hamdullah Mohib in response to recent attacks in the country says that the attacks show us and the world that Taliban and their sponsors do not pursue peace.
NSA Hamdullah Mohib in a series of tweets said that The attacks of the last two months showed the world that Taliban and their sponsors do not and did not intend to pursue peace.

“Their attacks this spring against Afghans are comparable to the level of fighting in past fighting seasons,” he said. “The Afghan government and our international partners, have a responsibility to hold the Taliban and their sponsors accountable,” he added.

Referring to the peace process, Mr Mohib said that the reason to pursue peace is to end this senseless violence.
According to him, this is not peace, nor its beginnings.

“If the Taliban cannot control the violence, or their sponsors have now subcontracted their terror to other entities —which was one of our primary concerns from the beginning— then there seems little point in continuing to engage Taliban in peace talks,” he stressed.

This comes as only during Tuesday’s terrorist attacks in Kabul and Nangarhar provinces, dozens of civilians, including women and children were killed and many were wounded.
