Some sources confirm that intra-Afghan talks between the government delegation and Taliban group will begin on 16 August.
Intra-Afghan dialogue to begin on 26 Asad (16 August), sources told RTA.

The issue raised after peace consultative Loya Jirga (grand assembly) decided to release 400 dangerous Taliban prisoners.
“In the next few days, we expect the completion of prisoner releases, then travel of the Islamic Republic team to Doha, and from there the immediate start of intra-Afghan negotiations,” said US Special envoy Zalmay Khalilzad.

The Taliban group also welcomed Loya Jirga decision, saying that the first round of talks will be led by Abbas Stanikzai.
