The Chairman of the High Council for National Reconciliation (HCNR) of Afghanistan Abdullah Abdullah arrived in Islamabad on Monday on a three-day visit to Pakistan.
Pakistan’s adviser on Commerce Razak Dawood and Pakistan’s Special Representative for Afghanistan Mohammad Sadiq received him at Nur Khan Airbase.
Leading a high-level delegation, Mr Abdullah left Kabul for Islamabad on Monday morning.
During the visit, Mr Abdullah will discuss a sustainable, just and dignified peace in Afghanistan with senior Pakistani leaders.
According to the statement, he will meet Pakistan’s Prime Minister, president, chairman of the Senate, speaker of the national assembly, foreign minister and other dignitaries.
“The visit will provide a unique opportunity for the two sides to exchange views on Afghanistan peace talks in Doha, and bilateral relations. I hope this visit will open a new chapter of mutual cooperation at all levels, especially on achieving a lasting and dignified peace in Afghanistan,” twitted Mr Abdullah.
