Former Iranian envoy to Afghanistan Mohammad Reza Bahrami says that US-Taliban Doha deal was inherently a factor in strengthening the Taliban’s sense of success.

Mohammad Reza Bahrami, Iran’s former ambassador to Afghanistan, believes the Taliban’s message on the occasion of the death of Sabah al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah, former Emir of Kuwait was another symbol of their insistence on preserving the identity of the “Islamic Emirate” as the desired structure of the complex.

“When the Taliban refused to back down during the term of the Doha agreement, with the United States, which lasted 18 months, one should not think that they would even be willing to talk about it in the future intra-Afghan negotiations,” Bahrami wrote on his twitter page.

According to him, the Doha agreement was inherently a factor in strengthening the Taliban’s sense of success.
Although the US-Taliban agreement referred to the militants as a group, but the Taliban insist on keeping the structure of Islamic Emirate.
